A useful Chicago starting point, with a detail-gathering step before you can compare costs or travel. The public joining page is an invitation to get in touch, not a complete course prospectus. Get the next clinic’s details in one reply.

Windy City directs new skaters to Learn to Skate clinics and Intro to Derby announcements on its social channels. Experienced skaters have a different transfer process, including people returning after time away. Skating and non-skating officials can enquire through the officiating section.

Where & when.

Beginner practice address not published on the joining page.

Do not use a tournament venue as a training address. Ask for the clinic venue, entrance and whether the floor changes between sessions. Visiting current derby skaters are asked to provide at least two weeks’ notice; that is a separate process from beginner recruitment.

Clinic dates to confirmThe public join page does not give a dated beginner intake or a recurring beginner practice schedule. Follow its official announcement links and ask which class is accepting new participants.

What you can borrow

Loaner availability is not published for beginner clinics. The drop-in section requires visitors to bring their own gear, but that does not answer the beginner question.

Who the program is for

The joining page welcomes skating and non-skating officials. Age and program-specific gender eligibility for the next beginner clinic should be confirmed directly.
